Fulmineo won his maiden race in his second career outing as a 2-year-old in a 1 1/16-mile turf race at Colonial Downs on Sept. 2, 2023. He then was sent to the Grade 2 Pilgrim Stakes at Aqueduct and finished second going 1 1/16 miles on the turf on Oct. 4. He finished his 2023 campaign with a start in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf on Nov. 3 at Santa Anita where he finished 11th.

Fulmineo switched back to the main track to begin his 3-year-old season in 2024 and started the year by finishing second in a 1 mile 40-yard allowance optional claiming race at Tampa Bay Downs on Jan. 14. He then stepped back up against stakes competition in the Grade 2 $200,000 Sam F. Davis Stakes on Feb. 10 and finished fifth. The Sam F. Davis was a points race on the Road to the 2024 Kentucky Derby, and with his fifth-place finish, Fulmineo picked up two qualifying points.
Fulmineo is trained by Arnaud Delacour. He was bred in Maryland by the sire Bolt d'Oro out of the mare Starr of Quality by First Dude.
