After a debut win in August 2018 at Woodbine, Faraway Kitten was unplaced in the Kentucky Downs Juvenile Turf Sprint Stakes in his second start. The Kitten’s Joy colt won an allowance race on the grass at Keeneland in October before closing out his 2-year-old campaign with an unplaced finish in the Pulpit Stakes at Gulfstream Park.
Faraway Kitten tested the waters on the Triple Crown trail in 2019 and finished third in the Rushaway Stakes. He subsequently won a claiming race at Churchill Downs before finishing third in an allowance race at Churchill in June.
