Endlessly

Amerman Racing’s homebred Endlessly opened his career with a 2 ¼-length victory from off the pace while flashing an explosive burst of speed late to win a one-mile maiden special weight race July 30, 2023, at Del Mar.

Next entered in the Grade 3 Del Mar Juvenile Turf Stakes, the bay colt by Oscar Performance again dominated by the same 2 ¼-length margin. He was rated in sixth early by jockey Juan Hernandez in the eight-horse field, accelerated into contention on the final turn, and powered clear in the stretch for a decisive score. He confirmed his status as a leading U.S.-based contender for the Prevagen Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf with a 2 1/2-length victory in the Zuma Beach Stakes Oct. 8 at Santa Anita Park at the same course and one-mile distance as the Juvenile Turf Nov. 3.  Subsequently in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf in his next start, endlessly finished eighth.

Endlessly returned for the start of his 3-year-old campaign on Feb. 10, 2024, with a switch to the Tapeta all-weather surface for a start in the $100,000 El Camino Real Derby at Golden Gate Fields. The El Camino Real Derby is an ungraded race but is considered a prep race for the Preakness Stakes - the second jewel of racing's Triple Crown. The winner of the El Camino Real Derby earns an automatic entry into the Preakness, and that automatic entry went to Endlessly on the strength of his come-from-behind winning performance by a 1 1/4-length margin at the wire. Endlessly was sent off as the 0.70-1 favorite in a field of eight and ran the 1 1/8 miles in a time of 1:50.68.

Endlessly made his next start back on a synthetic surface but this time at Turfway Park in the Grade 3 $700,000 Jeff Ruby Steaks going 1 1/8 miles on March 23. Sent off as the 7-5 favorite on the tote board in a field of 10 in the Jeff Ruby, Endlessly raced in the rear half of the field much of the way until making a big move for the lead into the top of the stretch. He drew off to win easily by four lengths, once again asserting his dominance on an all-weather racing surface. The Jeff Ruby Steaks was a key prep race on the road to the Kentucky Derby, and for his victory, Endlessly earned 100 qualifying points to get into the starting gate for the run for the roses, assuring him a spot in the Derby starting gate if he wants it, to go along with the automatic Preakness berth he already earned when he won the El Camino Real Derby.
