Emaraaty (GB)

Emaraaty began hisracing career in Great Britain at age 2 in 2017 in the barn of John Gosden, and won hismaiden race in her second outing on Sept.  23, 2017 at Newbury. His only win of the following season came on a synthetic surface, and he was transferred to the barn of Chad Brown and brought to North America for his 4-year-old season in 2019. He was victorious in his first race in the United States on July 27, 2019, in a 1 1/16-mile allowance race at Saratoga Race Course, but raced only twice more that year and then missed his entire 5-year-old season when on the sidelines throughout 2020.

Emaraaty returned from a 15-month layoff to reboot his career on Jan. 23. 2021 with a third-place finish in a mile turf race at Gulfstream Park.  Emaraaty was back in the winner's circle later that summer back at Saratoga with a one-mile turf victory over allowance optional claiming competition. 

In keeping with his career pattern of winning every season he runs at Saratoga, Emaraaty scored his third career Saratoga turf win in a mile turf race on Aug. 4, 2022.

As an established Saratoga horse for the course, Brown sent Emaraaty up into graded stakes competition for his next race in the Grade 3 $200,000 Bernard Baruch Handicap at Saratoga on closing day of the meet on Sept. 5. Sent off as the 6-1 fourth choice on the tote board in a field of six, Emaraaty sprinted out to a clear lead and went wire-to-wire to earn his first stakes victory, coming at the age of 7.  Emaraaty completed the 1 1/16 miles in a time of 1:41.36 to win by a 3 1/2-length margin and paid $14.60 to win.
