Classic Catch won his maiden race in his second career start as a 2-year-old on Nov. 20, 2022, at Aqueduct going 1 1/8 miles. Classic Catch won for a second time early in his 3-year-old season in a 1 1/8-mile allowance race at Gulfstream park on March 2, 2023. His distance ability at 1 1/8 miles was enough to earn him a trip to the Grade 2 $750,000 Wood Memorial Stakes at Aqueduct on April 8. Classic Catch closed from far back in the 12-horse field and finished fifth.
