Cezanne won the first two starts of his career in June and July 2020 for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert before running fourth in the Shared Belief Stakes in his stakes debut.
He did not race again until April 18, 2021, but returned in spectacular fashion by winning the Grade 3 Kona Gold Stakes at Santa Anita Park by 9 ¾ lengths.
Cezanne picked up his first win of 2022 on Mar. 5, when he won the Grade 2 San Carlos Stakes Presented by FanDuel at Santa Anita by 2 1/2 lengths as the 3-5 favorite.

He is out of the winning Bernardini mare Achieving, the dam of two other stakes winners, and his extended family includes champion and Belmont Stakes winner Rags to Riches and Belmont Stakes winner Jazil.
