Richard Migliore

Richard Migliore won the Eclipse Award as outstanding apprentice jockey in 1981 and became a leading rider primarily on the New York circuit for the next three decades before retiring in 2010. Known as “the Mig,” the Brooklyn, N.Y., native won 4,450 races and his mounts earned over $160 million, winning prestigious races such as the Pacific Classic, the Man ‘o War Stakes, and the Personal Ensign Stakes. Winner of the 2008 George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award, Migliore now works as a television analyst  and goodwill ambassador with NYRA.
