01.22.2026

Shahana Roberts became the first female graduate of Stable Recovery’s School of Horsemanship program at Spy Coast Farm, where she was lauded for her hard work and dedication to the program.

Stable Recovery CEO Christian Countzler called Roberts’ graduation a historic day as she celebrated eight months of sobriety and completion the 90-day horsemanship program. She accepted a job at Spy Coast working in a full-time capacity.

Countzler and Frank Taylor of Taylor Made Farm co-founded Stable Recovery to help those fighting addiction. Recovering residents attend the School of Horsemanship and join a peer-driven therapeutic community with a focus on securing equine-related employment. The program, which earned a Special Eclipse Award in January 2025 for its impact on the lives of its graduates, started a women’s program to expand its reach and help more people struggling with addiction.
