America’s Best Racing was at Old Friends with founder Michael Blowen for the arrival of Major Blue, a 5-year-old horse who Blowen said was the last of Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas's horses. A winner of 15 Triple Crown and 20 Breeders’ Cup races, Lukas died on June 28 at age 89.
Blowen said Old Friends was contacted by the group that owned Major Blue, including Wayne's widow Laurie Lukas, and the farm was honored to welcome him in retirement.
