Talented 3-year-old Bless the Broken continues to take trainer Will Walden on an unforgettable journey, including a third-place finish in the Longines Kentucky Oaks and a start in the $500,000 DK Horse Acorn Stakes June 6 during the Belmont Stakes Festival at Saratoga Race Course.
America’s Best Racing spent Acorn Stakes day with Walden and close friend Ryder Finney of Cypress Creek Equine. They watched from the barn as one of his stable’s fillies, Good Temper, won earlier in the afternoon at Churchill Downs to give Walden his first career two-win day.
Walden also talked about the Stable Recovery program and how graduates of the program have been invaluable to his operation, and then made his way over to the Saratoga main track for Bless the Broken’s fourth-place finish in the Acorn Stakes.
