Trainer David Simcock took out his training license in 2004 and has found considerable success at the top level of the sport. In 2010 and 2011, he campaigned champion sprinter Dream Ahead to wins in the Prix Morny, July Cup, and others including a victory over Goldikova in the Prix de la Foret.

Simcock has had major successes in both Europe and the United States, including a Grade 1 double in 2014 at Woodbine when he won both the Northern Dancer Turf and Woodbine Mile on the same day with Sheikhzayedroad and Trade Storm, respectively. He also trained I'm A Dreamer to success in the 2012 Beverly D. Stakes and Caspar Netscher to success in the Nearctic Stakes in 2014. Caspar Netscher's victory came on the same weekend that Madame Chiang won the Group 1 British Champions Fillies and Mares Stakes during British Champions Weekend.
