The path to the 2020 Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Keeneland Race Course on Nov. 6-7 is a road with plenty of ups and downs as talented racehorses vie for a spot in one of 14 championship races and $35 million in purses and awards.

Saturday’s Central Bank Ashland Stakes will offer 3-year-old fillies a chance to qualify for the Sept. 4 Longines Kentucky Oaks, and it will be the first time the race has ever been contested in July.
