Saturday’s $500,000 Fasig-Tipton Risen Star Stakes at Fair Grounds marks an important shift on the road to the 2025 Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve.

The chase for the Longines Kentucky Oaks enters a new phase Saturday with the Fasig-Tipton Rachel Alexandra Stakes at Fair Grounds. Instead of a maximum of 20 qualifying points, the Rachel Alexandra offers a maximum of 50 qualifying points, which could wrap up a spot in the Oaks for the winner.
