Final Score

Final Score, a Not This Time colt, finished second in his career debut July 13, 2025 racing 5 ½ furlongs on dirt during Saratoga’s summer meet. He was then switched to turf by trainer Todd Pletcher and responded with a front-running, 1 ¾-length win in a 1 1/16-mile maiden race on Aug. 10.

Pletcher and owner Mike Repole then moved Final Score up to test stakes company Aug. 28 in the 1 1/16-mile Grade 3 With Anticipation Stakes at Saratoga, and once again the colt authored a front-running victory, this time by 4 ½ lengths under Kendrick Carmouche.

On Oct. 5, Final Score improved to 3-for-3 on turf with an impressive, 1 ¼-length victory in the Grade 2 Castle & Key Bourbon Stakes at Keeneland where he overcame pace pressure to finish strong under Irad Ortiz Jr. He earned a “Win and You’re In” berth in the John Deere Breeders’ Cup Juvenile turf with the victory.

Mike Repole bought Final Score for $600,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling auction in 2024. He is out of the winning Bernardini mare Precious Dixie, who is a full sister to stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Lady Kate.
