Simply Joking made her career debut a memorable one for her connections when rallying from off the pace to win the $100,000 Letellier Memorial Stakes Feb. 21, 2024, at Fair Grounds. She followed with a front-running 2 ½-length win on a sloppy main track in the Silverbulletday Stakes at the New Orleans track.
Trainer Whit Beckman next sent the Practical Joke filly to Oaklawn Park for the $750,000 Fantasy Stakes and she ran second, beaten by three-quarters of a length, to Quietside.
