Dominant Spirit began his career as a 2-year-old with a win in his first start at Remington Park on Sept. 12, 2024. He then finished second in his second start in Remington Park's Clever Trevor Stakes on Oct. 25, and went on to finish third in the $300,000 Remington Park Springboard Mile Stakes on Dec. 13. The Springboard Mile was a points race on the road to the 2025 Kentucky Derby, and with his show finish Dominant Spirit picked up three Derby qualifying points.
