Idyllic Saratoga Race Course in upstate New York is a top summer destination for horse racing fans and sports lovers in general as one of the iconic sporting venues in the United States.

In 1864, New York businessman William R. Travers joined John Morrissey, Leonard Jerome, and other prominent men in building Saratoga Race Course. The track is now the oldest continuously running racetrack in America and lures droves of fans every summer for elite competition that includes many of the best horses, trainers, and jockeys in the country.

DraftKings Travers Stakes day is the marquee card of racing for the Saratoga summer meet with multiple Grade 1 races, highlighted by the famed “Mid-Summer Derby.”

Eclipse Sportswire was on hand to capture the magic of Saratoga on Travers day.
