After an unplaced finish in his career debut sprinting at Churchill Downs in November 2020, Hush of a Storm stretched out to a mile and won a maiden race by 5 ½ lengths on the synthetic main track at Turfway Park Dec. 19. The Creative Cause colt followed with an allowance victory by three-quarters of a length at the same one-mile distance Jan. 6 at Turfway.
Hush of a Storm made his stakes debut Feb. 26 in the $100,000 John Battaglia Memorial Stakes at Turfway and closed from eighth after a half-mile to score a 1 ½-length win under Santiago Gonzalez.
