Lynne Snierson, the former director of communications at Arlington Park and Rockingham Park, is a free-lance writer and racing publicist. She covered Thoroughbred racing as a sportswriter for major metro daily newspapers In Boston, Miami and St. Louis and was the Midwest reporter for the ill-fated national trade publication The Racing Times. Currently serving her eighth term as a vice president of the Turf Publicists of America, she lives in New Hampshire with Mavis, her retired AKC champion Shetland Sheepdog, and Secretariat remains her all-time favorite horse.
