Saratoga Race Course draws thousands of fans a day for Thoroughbred racing at the historic track. (All photos by Eclipse Sportswire unless otherwise noted)

There’s no better place in all of America to enjoy a day at the races than Saratoga Race Course. But Saratoga is also popular, and the crowds can get pretty big, especially on weekends. If you come to the races without a reserved seat, you’re going to need to be smart. I’m going to do my best to help you out.

The Jockey Club Tour on FOX visits the New Jersey shore on Sunday, July 6, with live coverage of the $500,000 United Nations Stakes from Monmouth Park on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports GO (Digital) from 5 to 6:30 p.m. ET.

The “Win And You’re In” race offers the victor of the United Nations a guaranteed starting spot in the Breeders’ Cup Turf at Santa Anita Park on Nov. 1 as part of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

Maybe it’s because this is my first summer in 17 years that I’m not living in the south, but there’s part of me that longs for the calm of a warm Georgia night of cocktail sippin’ and front-porch sittin’.

The Saratoga meet is almost here and that longing will quickly go away as I head upstate to my favorite place in the world – heaven on earth. Luckily, all 10 of these summer cocktails are perfect no matter where you live and are especially fun to enjoy during a day at the races. Cheers!

With Father's Day on Sunday, America's Best Racing blogger Dave Hill  put together a list of 10 things he learned about racing from his dad. (All Photos by Eclipse Sportswire)
