Olivier Peslier is a leading international jockey who competes largely in France. He is a four-time winner of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, one of the most prestigious races in the world, including three years in a row from 1996-98. Peslier is also a three-time winner of the Breeders' Cup Mile aboard French heroine Goldikova.
Though his family was not in the horse-business, his hometown of Chateau Gontier, France is in an equestrian-inclined part of the country and he began riding in pony races at a young age. He later began his foray into Thoroughbred racing.
