Yo Yo Candy began his career at Parx when he won at first asking in a 2-year-old maiden race, coasting home by three lengths in a 4 1/2-furlong race on May 23, 2023. From there he was immediately sent up versus stakes competition in his second career start and finished third in the $150,000 Tremont Stakes at Belmont Park on June 11.
Yo Yo Candy began his career at Parx when he won at first asking in a 2-year-old maiden race, coasting home by three lengths in a 4 1/2-furlong race on May 23, 2023. Yo Yo Candy went to Saratoga for this third career start in the Grade 3 $175,000 Sanford Stakes on July 15, and he had a bid surprise in store for the other eight horses in the field that day when he came through with a victory at 46-1 odds to pay $94.00 to win. Yo Yo Candy stalked the pace close-up in the Sanford, challenged and took the lead in mid-stretch and then drew clear to a 2 1/4-length victory in a six-furlong winning time of 1:11.83 on a fast track.
