Wondrwherecraigis

A bay gelding bred by Fleur de Lis Stables in Kentucky, Wondrwherecraigis won the first two starts of his career. He broke his maiden at Laurel Park on March 13, 2020, and followed up that performance with a first-level allowance win at that track on June 6. He concluded his 3-year-old campaign with a third-place finish in the Gold Fever Stakes and a fourth-place performance in the Grade 2 Amsterdam Stakes.

Wondrwherecraigis earned the first stakes win of his career at Saratoga on Aug. 13, 2021. He won the Tale of the Cat Stakes by 2 3/4 lengths in an impressive gate-to-wire performance. It was the first win of his career outside of Maryland.

After his win at Saratoga, Wondrwherecraigis crossed the wire first in the Grade 3 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash back at Laurel Park on Sept. 18. However, he was disqualified and placed second for interfering with Jalen Journey in the stretch. The gelding bounced back nicely in his next start, taking the Grade 3 Bold Ruler Handicap at Belmont Park on Oct. 31 by 2 ¼ lengths in another gate-to-wire effort and scoring his first official graded stakes win.
