Whatchatalkinabout won his maiden race in his career debut as a 2-year-old on May 12, 2023, at Belmont Park. He later became a juvenile stakes winner at Finger Lakes on Oct. 16 in the $161,000 New York Breeders' Futurity.

Following a layoff of one year and two days, Whatchatalkinabout came back to the races as a 4-year-old with a close second-place finish at Belmont at the Big A on Oct. 18, 2024. After another runner-up finish at Aqueduct on Nov. 30, Whatchatalkinabout finally returned to the winner's circle in a New York-bred allowance optional claiming race as a newly turned 5-year-old on Jan. 16, 2025, with an eight-length victory in a six-furlong sprint that ran in 1:09.2.
Whatchatalkinabout became a Graded stakes winner for the first time with a game head victory atop a six-horse field in the Grade 3 $175,000 John A. Nerud Stakes going six furlongs at Belmont at the Big A on May 10, 2025.
