Walkathon

After back-to-back wins at Keeneland and Churchill Downs in her first two career grass starts, Walkathon made her stakes debut in the Grade 3 Regret Stakes at Churchill Downs on June 4, 2022. The Whitham Thorougbreds homebred daughter of Twirling Candy rated off the early pace, then took control as they rounded the final turn and opened up a large lead turning for home. Although favored McKulik closed the gap late, Walkathon had plenty of distance to spare and held on for the win. That victory marked jockey Julien Leparoux's 1,000th career win at Churchill Downs.

Walkathon did not return to racing for over a year, making her 4-year-old debut Aug. 31, 2023, in a Kentucky Downs allowance optional claiming race. She finished seventh and then made three more starts to close out the season, checking in third in a Keeneland turf allowance and then fifth and fourth in Grade 3 stakes at Churchill Downs and Gulfstream Park.

Returning in 2024 for a 5-year-old campaign, Walkathon took the early lead in the Grade 3 Endeavour Stakes Feb. 3 at Tampa Bay Downs and never gave it up, finishing strongly to earn her second career graded stakes victory by 1 ½ lengths.
