After back-to-back wins at Keeneland and Churchill Downs in her first two career grass starts, Walkathon made her stakes debut in the Grade 3 Regret Stakes at Churchill Downs on June 4, 2022. The Whitham Thoroughbreds homebred daughter of Twirling Candy rated off the early pace, then took control as they rounded the final turn and opened up a large lead turning for home. Although favored McKulik closed the gap late, Walkathon had plenty of distance to spare and held on for the win. That victory marked jockey Julien Leparoux's 1,000th career win at Churchill Downs.

Walkathon did not return to racing for over a year, making her 4-year-old debut Aug. 31, 2023, in a Kentucky Downs allowance optional claiming race. She finished seventh and then made three more starts to close out the season, checking in third in a Keeneland turf allowance and then fifth and fourth in Grade 3 stakes at Churchill Downs and Gulfstream Park.
Returning in 2024 for a 5-year-old campaign, Walkathon took the early lead in the Grade 3 Endeavour Stakes Feb. 3 at Tampa Bay Downs and never gave it up, finishing strongly to earn her second career graded stakes victory by 1 ½ lengths.
She followed that win up with another very good effort, losing by a neck in the Grade 3 Honey Fox Stakes at Gulfstream Park, before posting two fifth-place finishes against tougher company in a Grade 1 stakes at Keeneland and a Grade 2 at Churchill.
Walkathon returned to the winner’s circle by winning the listed Anchorage Overnight Stakes on turf in gate-to-wire fashion in late June, and then was all out to edge Dana’s Beauty by a head in the Kentucky Downs Preview Ladies Turf Mile Stakes Aug. 4 at Ellis Park.
Logically, after winning the Kentucky Downs Preview Ladies Turf Mile at Ellis, Walkathon's next destination was Kentucky Downs for the running of the $1.5 million Grade 3 Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf Stakes going one mile on Aug. 31. Walkathon turned in a bang-up effort at Kentucky Downs to add another win to her growing tally. She battled for the lead much of the way until KO'ing the challenger turning for home into the long Kentucky Downs stretch. From there she extended to an impressive three-length win atop a full field of 12.
