Star Fortress began her racing career as a 3-year-old in 2022 and scored one win from seven career outings in England between June of 2022 and July of 2023.

Star Fortress was transferred to North America and landed in the barn of trainer Cherie DeVaux starting with the second half of her 4-year-old season in 2023 and made her North American debut racing in the Grade 3 $300,000 Cardinal Stakes on Thanksgiving Nov. 23 at Churchill Downs. Sent off as the 6-1 fifth choice on the tote board in a field of six in the Cardinal, Star Fortress proved to be much the best, charging from last to first to blow away the competition by 10 lengths in the 1 1/8-mile turf race for fillies and mares.
Star Fortress was bred in Ireland by the sire Sea the Stars out of the mare Lady Aquitaine by El Prado.
