Paramount Prince

Paramount Prince graduated at first asking late in his 2-year-old season in a maiden optional claiming six-furlong race on the all-weather surface at Woodbine on Nov. 12, 2022, and from those humble beginnings went on to become the Canadian $1 million Queen's Plate champion in 2023 when he won Canada's equivalent of the Kentucky Derby going 1 1/4 miles at Woodbine over a field of 17 3-year-olds on Aug. 20, 2023.

Paramount Prince's winning ways continued versus open company as a 4-year-old in 2024. He beat open company for the first time in an allowance optional claiming race at Gulfstream Park going 1 1/8 miles on the all-weather track on March 10, 2024. He then followed that up with his first graded stakes win in the $150,000, Grade 3 Dominion Day Stakes going 1 1/8 miles at Woodbine on June 29. One start after that, the gelding dominated in picking up a second graded stakes score at Woodbine, coasting to victory in the $175,000, Grade 2 Seagram Cup July 27.

Paramount Prince is trained by Mark Casse. He was bred in Ontario, Canada by the sire Society's Chairman out of the mare Platinum Steel by Eddington.
