La Signare, a French-bred Siyouni filly, began her racing career in her native country in 2017 and scored her first win in a one-mile turf race at Toulouse, her second career start. She was then transferred to the U.S. and trainer Brian Lynch and closed fast to finish second in her North American debut at Keeneland in spring 2018.

La Signare then tested graded stakes company in the Grade 3 Wonder Again Stakes at Belmont Park on June 7. After setting the pace throughout in the 1 1/8-mile race, she battled gamely to hold off graded stakes winner Significant Form and post her first stakes victory by a length.
In her first two starts of 2021, La Signare was fourth, beaten a length, in the Grade 3 Hillsborough Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs on Mar. 6 and third in the Grade 1 Coolmore Jenny Wiley Stakes at Keeneland on Apr. 10. She then hit the board in two consecutive Grade 1 races when second in the Gamely Stakes at Santa Anita Park and third in the Diana Stakes at Saratoga Race Course but then went off form with two unplaced finishes in Grade 1 events at Saratoga and Keeneland.
