Hopeful Treasure won his career debut in October 2019 at Delaware Park and wrapped up his 2-year-old season with two wins, one second, and one third in four races. The Oxbow colt won his 3-year-old debut in February 2020 at Aqueduct and later that season ran fourth in the Gold Fever Stakes in his first start against stakes competition.

Hopeful Treasure showed significant improvement as a 4-year-old, posting a win and two seconds in his first three starts of 2021. He added an allowance win Nov. 3 at Parx Racing before a breakthrough win Nov. 28, when he won the Grade 3 Fall Highweight Handicap by a head at Aqueduct at 18-1 odds for trainer Michael Catalano Jr.
