Edgeway

Edgeway broke her maiden in her career debut, on Feb. 29, 2020 at Oaklawn Park. She won a maiden special weight race at six furlongs by five lengths, under jockey Tyler Baze.

On June 6, Edgeway made her graded stakes debut in the Grade 3 Dogwood Stakes at Churchill Downs. She made a wide move in the stretch and finished second, beaten 2 1/2 lengths. She did not make another start that year.

Edgeway won her 2021 debut, taking a second-level allowance at Santa Anita Park on Feb. 7. On Apr. 10, she won her first stakes race as she held off the challenge of Frank's Rockette to win the Carousel Stakes at Oaklawn Park, covering six furlongs in 1:10.13.

Later in the season, Edgeway earned her first graded stakes win, taking the Grade 3 Rancho Bernardo Stakes at Del Mar by a length on Aug. 20. As the even-money choice in the four-horse field, she battled on the early pace and held clear late for the win.

Edgeway stayed at Del Mar for her next start, the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint. Joel Rosario rated her off the pace early on the rail, then moved to the front as they rounded the turn. Although she could not match the strides of the winner, Ce Ce, she overtook favored Gamine and got up for second. 

Edgeway made her first start of 2022 in the Kalookan Queen Stakes at Santa Anita. Sent off as the 2-5 choice, she cruised on the lead and won by 1 3/4 lengths. In her next start, she tallied her second graded stakes win, romping by seven lengths in the Grade 3 Las Flores Stakes on March 13 at odds of 3-10.
