Disco Time

Disco Time won his maiden race at first asking with a 3 3/4-length win at Churchill Downs going seven furlongs in his career debut as a 2-year-old on Nov. 1, 2024. He then added another win at the 2024 Churchill fall meet when he scored a 3 1/2-length allowance optional claiming win going a mile on Nov. 30.

Disco Time made his 3-year-old debut on Jan. 18, 2025, in the $250,000 Grade 3 Lecomte Stakes going 1 1/16 miles on a sloppy track at Fair Grounds. Sent off as the 1.90-1 favorite atop a 13-horse field in the Lecomte, Disco Time raced near of the rear of the field for the first half of the race before getting into stride with a wide move past horses on the turn. He reached contention in the stretch and outbattled Built nearing the wire to win by a neck. The Lecomte was a points race on the Road to the 2025 Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve. With this win, Disco Time raised his record to three wins in three starts and earned 20 Kentucky Derby qualifying points.

The colt missed the Derby due to a setback, but returned in September to dominate the St. Louis Derby at Fairmount Park, winning by 5 ½ lengths in his first start off the long layoff. He then took a slight reset and came back to romp by 9 ¾ lengths in the Dwyer Stakes Nov. 8 at Aqueduct, extending his career unbeaten streak to five. 

Disco Time is trained by Brad Cox. He was bred in Kentucky by the sire Not This Time out of the mare Disco Chick by Jump Start.
