Dayoutoftheoffice, an Into Mischief filly co-owned and trained by Tim Hamm, won her career debut at Gulfstream Park on May 14, 2020, in a 4 ½-furlong race. She was given a two-month break and shipped to Saratoga for her next start on that track’s opening-day card, the Grade 3 Schuylerville Stakes at six furlongs.

With Junior Alvarado in the irons, Dayoutoftheoffice stalked the pace through the turn and drew clear of the field in early stretch en route to a commanding six-length victory. She subsequently earned an expenses-pad berth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies with an easy two-length win in the Grade 1 Frizette Stakes Oct. 10 at Belmont Park.
Dayoutoftheoffice made her next start in the Nov. 6 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies at Keeneland. She set the pace and led into midstretch but was overtaken by Frizette runner-up Vequist to suffer her first defeat. She did hold on for second by a nose over Girl Daddy.
Kentucky-bred Dayoutoftheoffice is out of the winning Indian Charlie mare Gottahaveadream, who is a half-sister to Grade 1-winning sprinter Here Comes Ben. Millionaire and Grade 1 winner Albertus Maximus and Grade 1 winner Daredevil are notable family members.
