A native of Phoeniz, Ariz., Jack Carlino fell in love with horse racing during summer family visits to Del Mar. He graduated from the University of Louisville in 2016 with a degree in Equine Business Administration. While studying at U of L, he interned at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club and also worked as a hot walker with Hall of Fame trainer Richard Mandella and as part of the yearling sales prep team at Denali Stud in Kentucky. Carlino started his two-year program with Godolphin Flying Start in August 2016.
