America’s Best Racing assembles a yearly slideshow of the talented 3-year-olds lined up to compete in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve. This year's race on May 4 at Churchill Downs in the milestone 150th edition of the famed run for the roses and is headlined by Toyota Blue Grass Stakes winner Sierra Leone and champion Fierceness, winner of the Curlin Florida Derby Presented by Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms at Xalapa March 30 at Gulfstream Park.

For most of the contenders targeting the first jewel of the Triple Crown, we were able to find a nice mix of photos to show fans their competitive side as well as a bit of their personality. The contenders appear in order by points earned within the Road to the Kentucky Derby scoring system that determines the 20-horse field for the 1 1/4-mile classic with profile photos, workout images, and racing pictures when available.
