A retirement facility for Thoroughbreds located in Georgetown, KY, Old Friends Farm was founded in 2003 by former Boston Globe film critic, Michael Blowen. It began with only one horse and is now home to over 160 happy retirees. Its infinite wisdom lies in the details, combining ex-racehorses with education and tourism. People from across the globe come to visit their favorites and the farm willingly opens its doors to 25,000-30,000 guests each year, offering up-close and personal experiences with their beloved residents. Meet Michael Blowen and Old Friends Farm, both most certainly are horse racing.
