Louisiana Derby: Road to the Kentucky Derby

Risen Star Stakes winner Girvin is one of nine horses competing for 100 Derby points and a guaranteed starting spot in the Kentucky Derby starting gate in this weekend's Twinspires.com Louisiana Derby at Fair Grounds. Last year's winner, Gun Runner, used the Louisiana Derby as a springboard to a third-place finish on the first Saturday in May.
