Adam Kitchingman, a native of Melbourne, Victoria, began his racing career at 18 under the tutelage of Australian conditioner Alan Baeley. He managed a farm in Japan and then moved to California and worked for Brian Lynch and Eric Kruljac. He currently operates his own stable, FirstHome Thoroughbreds, based at Santa Anita Park.
Kitchingman won his first graded stakes in 2014 when Tribal Spy captured the Grade 3 Las Cienegas Stakes. He was represented on the Road to the 2018 Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve with graded stakes winner Greyvitos.
