America’s Best Racing has put together a comprehensive slideshow of the horses expected to compete in the Preakness Stakes on May 18 at Pimlico.

For most of the contenders, we were able to find a nice closeup image, a workout photo, and a racing photo to help racing fans get to know each of the 3-year-olds targeting the second jewel of the Triple Crown.

The slideshow starts with the 3-year-olds who competed in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve on May 4 at Churchill Downs, in order of finish, and from there the contenders appear in alphabetical order.

The probable Derby runners expected to compete in the Preakness as of May 10 are Improbable, placed fourth in the Derby, War of Will (seventh in the Derby), Win Win Win (ninth in the Derby), and Bodexpress (13th in the Derby).  Additional expected starters who did not participate in the Kentucky Derby include Alwaysmining, Anothertwistafate, Bourbon War, Laughing Fox, Owendale, Signalman, and  Warrior’s Charge.
