The $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic is the marquee race of the 2019 World Championships, which will be held Nov. 1-2 at Santa Anita Park in Southern California.

A Thoroughbred’s eye, physical presence and conformation, and power when in motion tell the viewer quite a bit about the equine athlete. With that in mind, America’s Best Racing has put together a comprehensive slideshow of the horses expected to compete in this year’s Classic.

For most of the contenders, we were able to find a nice close-up image, a workout photo, and a racing photo to help racing fans get to know each of the Classic hopefuls, which appear in order of the final Breeders’ Cup Classic Rankings with the other possible runners listed alphabetically.

Multiple Grade 1 winner Omaha Beach was the only horse in the final rankings who does not appear in this slideshow as his connections revealed he will target the Big Ass Fans Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.
