Maribeth Sandford was born and raised in Louisville, Ky., and Chuck grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They reside in Marengo, Ill. Maribeth founded Bag Makers Inc. and serves as its CEO, while Chuck, who joined the business later, is the company president. According to the company website, "Bag Makers, Inc. is a leading supplier of non-woven, paper and plastic bags to the promotional products industry.

What began as a small startup company in a dairy barn in northern Illinois has today become a multi-million dollar corporation with more than 800 employees worldwide. The Sandfords got into racing in June 2009 and have seven or eight horses with trainer Patrick Byrne.
