Saturday, Feb. 1 marks the first big day of prep races for the 2020 Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve, with three races scheduled that offer qualifying points for the May 2 classic – the $250,000 Withers Stakes at Aqueduct, the $250,000 Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream Park, and the $100,000 Robert B. Lewis Stakes at Santa Anita Park.

Each of the races distribute points to the top four finishers on a 10-4-2-1 basis that contribute to a final total that determines the 18 North America-based horses in the Kentucky Derby starting gate.

TVG is the go-to channel for all three preps this weekend, offering broadcasts from Aqueduct, Gulfstream, and Santa Anita as part of its usual slate of coast-to-coast live racing coverage.

TVG’s Gulfstream coverage also features four other stakes races including the $150,000 Swale Stakes for 3-year-olds, which occasionally places horses on the road to the Kentucky Derby.

Here’s a rundown of horse racing television and radio coverage leading up to Saturday's Derby prep trifecta.
