Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Ky., hosted the Breeders’ Cup World Championships for the first time in 2015. The Breeders’ Cup came to the picturesque racetrack in the heart of horse country in the same year that American Pharoah became the first U.S. Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978.

Racing’s new star completed the “Grand Slam” with a victory in the Breeders’ Cup Classic to close out his career, but the event was so much more than just one race as the Lexington track dazzled on center stage.

Eclipse Sportswire was there to capture the magic of the 2015 Breeders’ Cup at Keeneland, which will host the event again in 2020 on Nov. 6-7.
