StableDuel, Thoroughbred racing’s revolutionary new game that combines the excitement of fantasy sports with the thrill of traditional handicapping, has announced its largest and most exciting promotional contest to date, Back2Back at the Breeders’ Cup.
Back2Back at the Breeders’ Cup contestants will compete over two days of racing centered around the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Santa Anita Park on Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov.2. Back2Back is free to enter and features $20,000 in total prizes – $5,000 on Friday to the top 50 finishers and $15,000 on Saturday to the top 75 finishers. Entries open when fields are drawn and close before the first post each day.
Modeled after the traditional “salary cap” style daily-fantasy games, StableDuel contests require players to select a stable of horses from a specific race card (day of racing) within the confines of a salary cap. Horses are assigned a price (or salary) based on their morning-line odds. Contestants earn points when their horse finishes in the top five places, based on the order of finish and the margin of victory or defeat.
To get started, contestants simply download the StableDuel app for iOS and Android, create an account in a few simple steps and draft a stable. The iOS version is available now and the Android version comes out on Oct. 16. StableDuel is intuitive, innovative and designed for novices and veterans alike.
“StableDuel was created out of a love for horse racing and a desire to reach a new generation of fans,” said StableDuel CEO Augie Greiner Jr. “Our industry needs to continue to explore new avenues of growth, much like all mainstream sports.”
