Legendary West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg and award-winning DJ and songwriter Mark Ronson will perform at the Pegasus World Cup Invitational on Jan. 26 at Gulfstream Park.
The 15-race card features the $9 million Pegasus World Cup as well as, for the first time in 2019, the $7 million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational. The dazzling day of racing will be complimented by world-class entertainment led by Snoop Dogg and Ronson as well as DJs and musicians performing between races.
Snoop Dogg is one of the most influential hip-hop artists of all time and has sold more than 35 million albums worldwide. Ronson is a British DJ and songwriter known for his collaborations with Bruno Mars ("Uptown Funk"), Amy Winehouse, and other performers who just won a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song as co-writer of "Shallow," featured in A Star Is Born. Tickets are available here.
The musical acts will perform at the LIV Stretch Village, where in 2018 both Post Malone and Ludacris entertained racing fans with unforgettable sets.
The Stronach Group will team up with Groot Hospitality’s LIV for the second year, to offer an entertainment experience unlike any other. The highly anticipated return of the Pegasus LIV Stretch Village (formerly the Pegasus LIV Boardwalk) will feature race day entertainment, celebrities, VIP hospitality, and eclectic programming along with the headline performances. The Pegasus LIV Stretch Village will also showcase a restaurant row offering bites by Komodo, Swan, Bar Bevy and other local eateries.
“I am thrilled to be partnering with David Grutman again,” said Belinda Stronach, Chairman and President, The Stronach Group. “Our focus for the Pegasus World Cup is to deliver an incredible guest experience, one that combines world-class Thoroughbred horse racing with the unique hospitality that you can only find in Miami. In order to engage a new generation of fans we want to offer exciting and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. No one delivers those better than David and his team!”
“The Pegasus World Cup is one of the best horse races in the country so it’s only natural that we would partner to create the Pegasus LIV Stretch Village,” said David Grutman. “We can’t wait to bring Groot Hospitality’s brand of fun to the event. It is going to be epic.”
This year’s Pegasus partnership will feature an exclusive Swan & Bar Bevy pop-up in the newly renovated Flamingo Room at Gulfstream Park. The Flamingo Room will be the home of the premier VIP Pegasus World Cup luxury experience, delivering the finest in hospitality and entertainment with panoramic race day views. Guests will be treated to a lavish food and beverage celebration curated by Swan & Bar Bevy, the newest project by David Grutman. Tickets for the Flamingo Room begin at $1,000 per person and are available here.
The complete list of artists scheduled to perform at the Pegasus World Cup will be announced later this month.
