Owned and bred by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum’s Godolphin, Maxfield swept past the leaders at the top of Keeneland’s stretch and won going away to punch his ticket to the TVG Breeders’ Cup Juvenile on Nov. 1 at Santa Anita Park and earn 10 points toward next spring’s Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve. What’s Next: Racing’s two-day World Championships is fast approaching, and $30 million in purses will be up for grabs at Santa Anita Park when the Breeders’ Cup returns to the Arcadia, Calif., track for a record 10th time. The action begins Friday, Nov. 1 – Future Stars Friday, that is – with the first of five Breeders’ Cup races going off at 4:12 p.m. ET. On Saturday, Nov. 2, nine Breeders’ Cup races are in order, with the first scheduled for 2:55 p.m. ET. All races will be broadcast live on NBC Sports.
