Saturday’s Stars & Stripes Racing Festival card anchors the second-to-last weekend of Belmont Park’s spring/summer meet, with five graded stakes that will have major divisional implications for the upcoming months and into the fall. Led by the Grade 1, $1.2 million Belmont Derby Invitational and Grade 1, $1 million Belmont Oaks Invitational, for 3-year-olds and 3-year-old fillies on the turf, respectively, the card also includes the Grade 2 Suburban Handicap for older horses and the Grade 3 Dwyer Stakes for 3-year-olds on dirt. Last but not least, Saturday’s card also features the Grade 2 Belmont Sprint Championship, a Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series “Win and You’re In” qualifying race for the TwinSpires Breeders’ Cup Sprint.

NBC Sports will present an hour and a half of television coverage from New York, featuring host Mike Tirico, lead analysts Randy Moss and Jerry Bailey, and the rest of NBC Sports’ award-winning team. Coverage begins at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC. The show will feature live broadcasts of the Belmont Sprint Championship, Dwyer Stakes, and Belmont Oaks Invitational.

From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m ET., following the NBC broadcast, “Belmont Park Live” Presented by Claiborne Farm will air on FS2 and MSG+ providing live coverage of the Suburban Handicap and the Belmont Derby Invitational.

A  highlight of the week’s radio offerings is The Winner’s Circle,” presented by SB Nation and America’s Best Racing, hosted by Bram Weinstein. This week’s “Best of The Winner’s Circle” podcast looks back on a historic Triple Crown run by Justify and other highlights of the first six months of 2018, replaying interviews with Mike Smith, Bob Baffert, and Kirk Herbstreit. The program airs at 10 a.m. ET on the SB Nation Radio network of stations, at www.sbnationlive.com, and on the SB Nation Radio app.
