Fans take in the action at Gulfstream Park on Florida Derby day.

Fans from around the world were treated to one of the most exciting days in horse racing on Saturday. Not only did the day feature world-class races from Gulfstream Park in Florida to Meydan in Dubai, each track also hosted a pivotal Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve prep races.

At the end of the day, it was Audible winning the Xpressbet Florida Derby and Mendelssohn romping in the United Arab Emirates Derby (on Dubai World Cup Day, #DWC18) — both confirmed their credentials and secured more than enough points to earn a spot in the Churchill Downs starting gate on the first Saturday in May.
