Horse racing’s world championships return to Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. on Nov. 2-3, and if you’re going to this year’s Breeders’ Cup, here are 10 can’t-miss events you need to put on your calendar! 


1. Equestricon

Horse racing’s only fan convention coincides with this year’s Breeders’ Cup, and it’s two action-packed days that offer something for everyone who loves the sport. Whether you’re interested in learning more about betting, meeting jockeys, caring for off-the-track Thoroughbreds, fashion, charities, or so much more, Equestricon is a must during Breeders’ Cup week. 2. The Rood and Riddle post-position draw

3. Dawn at the Downs

Want to see some of the best horses in the world train for their Breeders’ Cup races, hear expert commentary from racing analysts, and enjoy a classic Kentucky breakfast at Churchill Downs? 5. Learn how to bet the Breeders’ Cup with the pros from Daily Racing Form.

On the eve of the World Championships, you have the opportunity to hear from NBC’s Randy Moss and the Daily Racing Form’s Mike Watchmaker and Mike Welsch at the Louisville Marriot Downtown. Plus, there will be cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres as well as a silent auction of racing memorabilia, horse halters, and racing experiences with all proceeds going to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF) and other racing related charities.
