My introduction to horse racing occurred when …: my Grandpa took me to the track when I was 6 or 7.

What I do for a living: Run Glen Hill Farm

What I like about Thoroughbred racing: I like the horses, the camaraderie of our team, the competition, the history, and the characters that make the sport so interesting.

Best advice to someone considering ownership: Make sure that you hire a good advisor that can help you accomplish your goals, whatever they may be. Treat it like a business, and measure what you accomplish.

Favorite place at the racetrack in which to watch a race: Somewhere outside, hopefully high enough to see the whole race.

Should the Breeders’ Cup rotate coast-to-coast or have a permanent home: In a perfect world it would rotate.

My top three favorite racetracks in order: Del Mar, Santa Anita, Keeneland

Most influential person in my career: My grandfather, Leonard Lavin. Closely followed by Tom and Hap Proctor.

My out-of-the-box idea for Thoroughbred racing: Instead of many organizations trying to accomplish the same goals on behalf of the industry stakeholders, divide the responsibility and hold each organization accountable for helping the sport in their defined area.

Other sports/teams I follow: Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks

My favorite athletes of all-time: Chris Chelios

What book(s) I am reading or have recently read: Currently reading "Bones," about Quarter Horse racing and drug cartels.

Favorite magazines: Powder, Vanity Fair, Sports Illustrated

Hobbies away from Thoroughbred racing: Skiing, traveling

Favorite movies: “Goodfellas,” “Swingers,” “Good Will Hunting”

Accomplishment I am most proud of: Hopefully it hasn't happened yet.

Favorite month of the year: October

What apps are on your phone: Mostly Disney Kids apps.

My biggest gambling score ever at the racetrack was: The day Family Meeting won the Grade 3 Jimmy Durante at 37-1 and Chiropractor won the Hollywood Derby an hour later at 11-1 was a pretty good day.

What is your go-to or signature bet to make at the racetrack: Pick 6

If you could pick walk-up music that would play whenever your horse(s) entered a winner’s circle after a win, what song would you pick: Don't know why, but "She's the One" by Bruce Springsteen popped into my head.
