UFC champion and "13th jockey" Conor McGregor and actor, comedian and "trainer" Jon Lovitz are back with for the third episode of the Pegasus World Cup Invitational’s "13th Jockey" series of short comedic films. Titled “Smart Outfit," Episode 3 features McGregor, with the help of Lovitz, picking his very own jockey silks for the big race.
McGregor, together with actor and comedian Jon Lovitz, filmed four short comedic films in December, the third of which can be viewed below.
Frank Coraci (“The Wedding Singer”) directed the “13th Jockey” film series with Lovitz co-starring as McGregor’s trainer.
McGregor, the first fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold two championship belts, was tapped for the lead role as the “13th Jockey” for the Pegasus World Cup Invitational, the world’s richest Thoroughbred race.
For McGregor to become the “13th Jockey” and conquer the sport of Thoroughbred racing, “The Notorious” had a lot of training to do. McGregor also had to get to know his way around the stables, train like a jockey, bond with a horse and learn how to ride, all of which is captured in the film series.
The four short films will be released via Pegasus World Cup Invitational social media channels leading up to the Jan. 28 race with the final episode airing live on the NBC race-day broadcast beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET.
The Stronach Group teamed up with Coraci, McGregor and Lovitz and last month filmed the series at The Stronach Group-owned Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif.

Fans worldwide are encouraged to take their share of the world’s richest Thoroughbred horse race by entering for the chance to win $1 million in the Pegasus Win-Win Contest.
